A healthy and enthusiastic student population ensures a plentiful supply of friendly pubs that are full of character. Unusually there are some excellent and highly popular non-smoking pubs in the city. Most of the pubs and bars serve food too. From The Eagle, a typical old coaching inn, or The Pickerel, the oldest (and haunted) pub in the city; to the highly contemporary Light bar or the B Bar, a drink in one of Cambridge’s finest is a great way to start or end an evening out.
